I definitely miss the cabin. I am glad that you made it in safe even if it was a rough start. Of course you guys got stuck. I guess we just never learn. You might as well try right? Haha, it was definitely a different group to hike in with this time. It sounds like Keegan and Xochitl have been replaced by Syd and Ryan, and I got replaced by some Mongolian kid - never would have expected that. I am glad to hear that you were able to be an American hero, Dad. You have now joined the American Hero club that Preston and I started this past week in our emails. Careful though, you may have to report to court 2 years from now.
This week:
So this week was transfers. Don't worry my companion and I survived. We are now covering the whole Panmure Ward by ourselves. We were double covering it with Sister Williams and Sister Cavora but Sister Williams finished her mission this week and Sister Cavora was transferred. This now doubles the size of our area. It is exciting for us but also difficult just because we both don't know anyone on the other half of the ward.
It was very sad to say goodbye to Sister Williams. Even though I was only able to serve with her 6 weeks, she is awesome. She is, as Elder Johnson likes to put it, "a true bro". She has achieved her bro status which is a big deal for Elder J - I am not even sure if I have achieved that bro status yet. She is 28 and Tongan. She is what we call a "plastic" Tongan though since she grew up up in California - I think in San Fran but I am not sure. She was one of those people that paints the T shirts and stuff really fast - a street performer - and she used that to help her in missionary work. She does some pretty cool spray paint graffiti type stuff. I will definitely miss her heaps. She was a great missionary and she was super good to me.
I am happy to hear that eveyone is good. Sorry to anyone that I haven't been able to email back - I know I have missed a few. I have received one letter from Vanessa Gokeritz (I probably spelled that wrong) and Rance and Emily's Christmas card. I love to receive mail. If anyone wants to write me I am totally okay with that :)
Love,
Elder Summers
