Looks like the sidewalk is getting there. I am glad that Kylee's Bucket got returned safely too her, that is a weight off my shoulders :) Kaden dug another hole, for some reason that kid just likes to get dirty. I do check my blog occasionally but mostly just when people ask for the mission address. It is very convenient to have it right there. Overall the week has been slow. Zach Johnson hasn't sent me anything - what a fafa man :) Did anyone catch my Dead Man's Party reference last week? If not I am very disappointed. Movie at Keith's - wow, Ryan and Xoch seem to be getting pretty serious again. Austin and Alyssa seem to be doing well. I have heard form Kylee a couple of times - she seems to be doing well. She says she wants to try and get back into the field so I hope she can. Will moved to Wisconsin for school and is probably getting up to no good :) and Preston just got transferred and was really excited. I still hear from them pretty regularly.
This week:
This week we were able to have a really powerful lesson with one of our investigators. Karani Paraha, we met her at the chapel and were able to show her around, give a brief tour. She used to attend when she was 12. She remembers coming with her older sister who is a member of the church. She also brought her sibling Billy. We taught them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we were able to read out of 2 Nephi 31. We taught why Christ was baptized and invited her towards baptism. She seems to be really nervous and doesn't know if she wants to change her life, but after we were able to testify of the blessings of baptism and membership in the church, especially of the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and she seemed to actually want to be baptized. She didn't say yes quite yet. She said she would pray and see if this is where Heavenly Father wanted her to go. She then asked us to show her the font again and she started asking who is allowed to come to her baptism. I am looking forward to seeing her later this week. It was one of the best lessons we have had in a long time. The Book of Mormon is the key, I need to use it more in teaching.
This week seems to have been slow other than that. We had an Investigator drop us. Jackson is moving to another part of the country but he doesn't want to see missionaries anymore, I think he was more just good friends with us and might be nervous for the next missionaries if they did stop by. We told him they would be good but he didn't seem to keen. He said he is going to continue reading the Book of Mormon so that is good. We wished him luck and told him to talk to the next missionaries he sees. Pretty disappointing for us though.
Love,
Elder Summers
