No Time, no suit, no allergy pills, I love Sam.
This week:
This week was really awesome and I just wanted to share one experience. We finally had a chance to sit down with Michaela (a girl that has attended our ward 4 times now.) We met with her at a member's house. We were able to teach the restoration lesson. It was a very spiritual lesson and you could tell she was feeling the Spirit. We taught the full lesson then at the end we invited her to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it was true only to find out she had been reading it already. She had also been studying our church quite intensely. She had been reading everything. She even showed us some favorite scriptures from the Book of Mormon. She talked about the sealed book in Isaiah and said she thinks it's the Book of Mormon. She believes it but she had some questions about the church because she had also been researching some anti-mormon stuff as well. We were answering all her questions for the next hour and I am so grateful that the Spirit was helping us out... and then we hit one that we weren't sure how to answer at first. She said she had been reading some conference talk (she couldn't remember which one) and she all of the sudden she had a feeling of deep despair mixed with love and sadness. She wasn't sure what this meant. Neither did we. I wish I new what she had been reading and then we might have been able to work with it but we didn't have that so we just started asking her some inspired questions trying to explain what she had felt a bit deeper. It was so confusing until I finally just listened and stopped trying to come up with answers. As I listened Michaela said somehting that allowed the Spirit to kick in. She said she had never felt a connection with God in that way ever before. Then it clicked. We were able to then testify that what she was feeling was godly sorrow. She needed to make a change because she had gotten a taste of what Heavenly Father feels when we make a mistake. Then we were able to testify of repentence and invite her to be baptized unto repentence. She is now scheduled to be baptized on the 23rd of this month. It was a miracle!
Love,
