We contacted Sister Beckstead, the mission nurse. I am still coughing up mucus but she said just take some cold medicine. Good thing I have heaps. :) Thanks Mom. We haven't seen Boss again yet. Bro Shortland has all his non-member grandkids staying with him for the next 2 weeks so he is pretty busy for a little while. Monopoly is at a pause. Still 2 to 1 but we realized we were getting super competetive and then I found out that my comp had been stealing money from the bank. I didn't think it was very funny of course but he thought it was really hilarious. No monopoly for a little while. My coat is good enough - just not in a down pour. I think I will just invest in an umbrella. I am a perfect driver so no worries there. No crazy celebration or anything for the 4th. I did make my comp sing the star spangled banner - that was crack up! Sounds like the family is having fun. I am glad that I made a few appearances in the photos. They were some really awesome pictures. Keeg and Chantelle are getting a house - that is really weird.
This week:
So this week we had transfers and Elder B and I are still together! We also had my district switch up. We now have a brand new sister form Highland, Sister Ottley, She is cool and seems to be really excited. We also now have Sister Pointer (She is from Cedar). Now I have some Americans in my district too - WooHoo! Maybe we will celebrate the 4th tomorrow during district meeting. Who knows.
We have an investigator which we had a really cool experience with this week. His name is Jackson. He is 17 and smokes a lot of weed. We thought he just wanted us to hang out with him but we went over to follow up because we had already given him a Book of Mormon the week before. We were just having small talk at first and then all of the sudden he got all serious and said, without us asking. he just said, "Hey I know that we are having a good korero but will you help me read your book?" We were like of course. We then asked him what he wanted to read about - Wars, Hunting, Family? The stuff he is intersted in and he was just like,
"Well, let's read about Jesus." So we read Alma 7 and he understood it really well. He said he wants to get baptized but he is not sure yet. That was really cool. Definitely haven't had any of that recently. I love teaching so much. The Book of Mormon is pretty powerful.
It was an okay week. I feel like I am wasting my time some days but I am doing all I can - or at least I think I am, I guess I could always do better.
Love,
Elder Summers
Sorry no pictures I left my camera at our WML's house.
