Sorry the for the late email, it is evening here and we are trying to get all the numbers reported at the office, I am on trade off with one of the assistants Elder Faamoe and we are here at the office, I have been with him all day and I didn't get to email until now. We have had a good week. I am excited to watch conference this week. I appreciated the male petroglyph. I missed another adventure but that is okay, we really are experts by now. Tennis sounds really fun to me right now. Its good that dad gets some recognition because he does a lot of stuff, I think he deserves it. Sounds like it was a pretty good week.
This week:
This week was interesting. It was pretty good as well. We have had some really fun lessons with our investigators. Pera and Alyshia are both people that are going to be baptized this month and they are both progressing really well. We had some awesome lessons with both them and they are keeping all their commitments. Before I served in this ward I didn't believe in Golden Investigators but I can tell you one thing. Michaela, Nate, Pera and Alyshia, have been or are golden investigators I love serving in this ward. I finally feel like I am on top of the work. The only problem is when this happens something usually happens to humble us. Hopefully not. I am really loving the mission. A lot of good things seem to be happening.
So this week we had another pretty cool lesson with some investigators. They have been living in a same-sex relationship for about a year now. One is a less-active member that has been bringing the other to church - last Friday, the less-active member's mum called to tell us this little detail. After it came to our attention we decided to address it head-on in our lesson this week. We thought it was going to be an awkward lesson but we were actually able to talk very openly with both of them. They both feel the need to follow God's plan and His commandments and have been making steps in the right direction on their own. It was really cool to see how the Spirit worked as we taught the Law of Chastity. We were pretty nervous and so was the new investigator but it went really well. I am so grateful for the inspiration and the mum's help so we were prepared to help them learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This week we had MLC again. We had a good meeting but during our lunch break I was asked by Elder Faamoe to lead the MLC in the mission Haka - I think just because Elder Peihopa was my companion and he used to lead it all the time. It was pretty stink I think because we didn't get to practice and none of us have performed it for a couple months now. It was okay but it was my first time ever leading one. It feels a lot different but I really enjoyed it. It was for President Balli and his Grandchildren. It was worth it for them even if I didn't really want to do it.
Love
Elder Summers
