So I don't have much time left to email so this meek may be a little short. Not a lot of new stuff happening. I am behind in my studies because we have to prepare for meetings and activities and devotionals a couple of mornings each week. Plus all the reports at night. So not really on top of everything. It should be a stressful situation but I am really not stressed about it at all. It is pretty easy. I am a great example, I believe especially in my humility. I don't want Xoch and Ryan to take this the wrong way (well Xoch at least. Ryan can get over it ;) ) but I don't feel like I am missing out too much on the wedding stuff. The actual sealing I wish I could be there for but all the other stuff I am sure is fun but I am all good being here instead. :) I am glad I accidently bought Amazon Prime so we could experience how useful it is.The other Elders thought that your whipped comment was hilarious - Still entertaining my friends even from 10,000 KMs away - good job, Dad! The photos just keep ending up that way, You know me the pensive ponderous type. It's ponderous man... really ponderous...
This Week;
I too do not really know what to write this week. It was a good week. The work itself was kind of slow but we were still really busy with all of our other responsibilities. I guess that's a good place to start. This week we spend a whole day in Missionary Leadership Council (MLC) this is where we go to the mission home and all the ZL's and STL's meet together and talk about what the mission is going to do next and what the missionaries need. We receive training and talk about new mission protocols. I like to call this meeting the Super Important Zone Leader Meeting - that's a mouthful though so I might just stick with MLC. These are held every month and this was my first one. Then we had zone training to do the next day. The meeting was really good. It was kind of hard to stay focused though. They feed us breakfast and lunch and then we go home for dinner. It is a long meeting though. 8am to 4pm then we go and get all the mail from the mission office. It was really good. One of the exciting things we learned from this meeting is that president now decided that we will be allowed to Skype home for Christmas! So I am looking forward to that. I think the mission is going to email all the families soon. The rest of the training was about the Christmas initiative that came out and how we are going to use it as a mission.
In other news we decorated our flat with a few decorations that we found in the flat Then we turned on some Christmas lights, turned off all the other nights and turned on some Christmas music and the 6 elders in my flat started dancing, which turned into pushing, which then led to my companion getting tackled onto the couch. He hit the corner and we thought he was just winded as he laid on the ground for a few minutes. Eventually we decided that he wasn't just winded so we called our mission nurse, Sister Bath, and she said that she thinks he may have a broken rib. We are going to bumper cars for p-day today and you could say that my companion probably shouldn't play. He still says he wants too though. So we will see what happens. Its our zone p-day which we also planned this week.
It was a pretty busy week to be a zone leader.
Love,
Elder Summers
