I left my camera charger up north so sorry for the lack of pictures. I haven't heard from Shannon since my birthday. But to be fair I haven't sent anything to work. No updates with Prince - he is back to hiding from us. Still, though, we will work with him when we can. Kaden went hard on the pumpkins - good for him! Weekend at the cabin, are you just trying to make up for not going very much this summer? Glad the cabin has such good insulation that it holds a balmy 40 degrees. Sounds like Halloween was good, lots of fun for everyone. Here they don't really do Halloween all out. There are a few trick-or-treaters but most people don't think it is worth it because most of the houses don't hand out any lollies. Xoch and Ryan had some pretty mean costumes. Tell Sam I luff him. I got an email from Zach Sionesani, and Sister Tuimuala told me about it. All of us Elders cracked up with your description of the Tongan language The members still talk about Elder Johnson and me all the time. Everytime we run into someone from Panmure ward, which is fairly often, they say something. Elder Smith is pretty fed up with it I think. All good, what can I say? The Summers' Curse is real. Its a blessing and a curse.
This Week:
So the highlight of this week is the fact that Elder Crichton is finally leaving..... haha, joking... Elder Crichton was reading over my shoulder. The highlight was actually that Brian Walker was baptized and confirmed. I was able to perform the confirmation. It was probably the smoothest running baptismal program I have ever been involved in. We started a little late but that was about it. Brian was very touched and some members came down from up north 3 hour drive, his whanau, and some other members that had met him up there. It was a really good turn out, and Brian had a lot more support than he thought. It was a very nice surprise. Elder Crichton performed the baptism, his last saturday in the mission and his last baptism, it was a really nice way to finish.
We went over our K allotment this month and so for the next 4 days we are not allowed to use the car at all. It should help us save some k's but we will be back on foot. The work just feels a lot slower when we can't use the car. In other news I heard a funny Joke in Elders Quorum this week.
So God created Adam and Adam was lonely so this is what Adam Said:
Adam: ''Father, I am really lonely and I need someone to help me. Can you help me out?''
God: ''Yes, of course I can. I will create the perfect person for you, she will be beautiful. She will always do all the chores, she will cook, clean, and she will even massage your feet. She will do everything you tell her to. She will be perfect."
Adam: "What is it going to cost me?"
God: "Well it will cost you an arm and a leg."
Adam: "Ouch! hmmm.... okay, so what can a get for a rib?"
Then God created Eve. :)
Love,
Elder Summers
